The XB-25E "Flamin' Mamie" used for icing research.
In https://history.nasa.gov/SP-2016-627.pdf, Image 104 describes:
     The XB–25E Mitchell searches for icing clouds in January 1947.
     The aircraft, dubbed “Flamin Mamie,” includes nose artwork
     depicting a fiery woman chasing off icing researchers (GRC–1947–C–17763).
(This has not happened yet in my career.)
